The Phoenix Legend is an association of gold and jade. A Mongolian gir from the Erduos Grassland.Ling Hua is a new generation singer of the Inner Mongolian Troupes on Horsebacks.She experienced a life of galloping on the vast desert,and her body flows with the blood of old generation of the lnner Mongolian Troupes on Horsebacks.Her singing is conorous and emotional. full of grassland characteristices,praised as female edition of Tang Ger with a strong appeal by the Hong Kong music professional press . On hearing her sing ing. you will unable to restrain your emotions to follow her to the miracle world of nomadic people and comprehend the continuous reproduction of original life.Another member in the Phoenix Legend is Zeng Yi, a handsome guy from Hunan Province , and in the south and norht of the Yangze River ,he captures the people's minds with his guitar and his vogue,slim,and graceful dances.

He Muyang,a celebrated musician,created the special collection according to the characteristics of the two main singers and the Phoenix Legend. Fu Ke , author of Borrow Another Five Hundred Years from the Heaven,was invited to create Lovers on Vast Desert,while other celebrated words and music writers of the inland,Hong Kong, and Taiwan were also invited to create songs for them .Zhong Xinmin,a famous Taiwan musician arranging for Zhou Jielun, was invited to create music and mixing the records.

On the Moon,one of the main songs,embodies the special style of the Phoenix Legend.The sonorous and clear melody waves on the vast grassland and desert.rhymed songs rolls as galoping horse,while the traditional folk song elements associate perfectly and harmoniously withe the electronic music,all of which enable the audience to reverie and excite.
On hearing the samples of part of the collection,and editer of a professional music magazine wrote that it is a collection of creams of the Chinese folk songs .a perfect combination of vogue international popular songs. and an initiation of a new style of most moving folk songs.

Notes by the Producer

More than 10 years ago.I had an idea that to create one song in the representaive music elements for each different places of China,and then to collect them into one collection, and how it would be a significant thing to be done.At that time I tried the music of North Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia,and Yunnan,and then I experienced ups and downs and had to compose in mind gradually.

When recording an anti-SARS song in Shenzhen in 2003, I met with Ling Hua,a female singer from the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, and then I know Zeng Yi,her cooperate and my native fellow too.We know further each other in their association of the Extreme Fire, until they contracted with the Peacock Gallery in the Phoenix Legend.Their association gives off a magical power.Ling Hua's voice is sonorous and wild,and Zeng yi's singing is exciting and moving,coupled with their gorgeous stage performance,all of which are a natural arrangement.

The opportunity was coming, and from their first song titled On the Moon,I tried to find out a performing style of original folk song elements plus modern rhythm and humanistic song words.Then,emerged a clear music line from Mongolia to desert,Xinjiang and Qinghai,and then to Tibet and Yunnan.As if a mystical dream travel,I had never been there,but their images are deep in my mind,which perhaps to be the rhythm flowing in the Chinese blood vessels for thousands of thousands of years,and I believe it was the origin.

At present,someone differs strongly folk songs and popular ones or consides that the folk songs are too unfashionable.But I believe that now folk songs are alse popular songs,while the so-called folk songs were past tense.The European.American,Japanes,and South Korean songs have their own tones,while our popular song tones shoould prossess more Chinese national characteristices,and their words should own more humanistic colors.The disc of On the Moon is an exploration or may herald the debut of a new style.

Here,I would like to give my special thanks to Qin Ge,Yuan Chun,Fu Jiang,Fei Gang,Lu Weiqing ,Zhong Xingmin,Fu Ke,Wang Guangwu,Chen Bohao,Tian Po,He Han,Long Jun and others,who helped me to realize my dream.It was them who chimed in easily and let all become reality,and it is so real,and perhasp all legends are from early reality.
The special collection salutes alse specially to Wang Lubin,Lei Zhenbandg,Luo Dayou,Huang Zhan, and other music predecessors who are clearly aware of their national responsibilties.
